The start to the Week 2 matchup against the New York Jets was an utter disaster for the Green Bay Packers. Not one, but two players had to be carted off due to injury on back-to-back plays.
First, the entire Packers team circled Jayden Reed as the cart came out for him after he suffered a scary neck injury, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. He taken to the locker room shortly after the end of the clip below.
Then, on the very next play, offensive lineman Zach Bako-Bewele was carted off, per Schneidman. Trainers wrapped Bako-Bewele's leg in an air cast before taking him to the locker room.
âÂÂZach Bako-Bewele is now being carted off the play after Jayden Reed was carted off,â Schneidman reported. âÂÂBako-Bewele's right leg is being put in an air cast.âÂÂ
Unsurprisingly, the Packers ruled both players out for the remainder of the contest,â Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said. âÂÂGreen Bay will evaluate Reed's neck and Bako-Bewele's leg before determining exactly how severe each situation is.
âÂÂThe Packers have ruled out WR Jayden Reed (neck) and RT Zach Bako-Bewele (knee),â Rapoport reported.
