On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped to 2-2 on the 2026 NFL season with a second straight loss, this time at home at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles led this one by 10 points in the fourth quarter but melted down over the final few minutes and are now right back where they started at the .500 mark.

Philadelphia sustained several key injuries during this game, headlined by star running back Saquon Barkley, who left in the first quarter with a hamstring injury that kept him out for the rest of the contest.

However, after the game, head coach Nick Sirianni was not looking for sympathy.

“I'm never going to use anything as an excuse. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror and pick ourselves back up… life hands you a lot of different scenarios. Football hands you a lot of different scenarios,” he said, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com on X, formerly Twitter.

The Rams were also dealing with their fair share of injuries in this one, headlined by star pass rusher Myles Garrett, although they did get wide receiver Puka Nacua back on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Eagles will certainly be hoping for good news on the injury front this week for some of their key players, including Barkley, wide receiver Devonta Smith, and others.

Philadelphia's offense looked listless down the stretch of this one, and the team's defense gave up two straight touchdown drives down the stretch to allow the Rams to win.

In any case, the Eagles will next hit the field next Sunday for a tough road game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars overseas.
