Nick Chubb is headed back to Cleveland.
The Browns announced on Thursday that Chubb will be in the building on Friday to sign a one-day contract and retire as a member of the franchise.
Chubb announced his retirement back in August.
While Chubb spent the 2025 season with the Texans, he played the rest of his career with the Browns. The No. 35 overall pick of the 2018 draft, Chubb registered 6,843 yards with 51 touchdowns for Cleveland — landing at No. 3 on the franchise’s all-time list behind Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly.
Chubb is one of just four players in NFL history to retire having averaged 5.0 yards per carry on more than 1,000 attempts. The other three are Brown, Joe Perry, and Jamaal Charles.
Chubb is set to address the media in Cleveland on Friday afternoon.
