Another week, another long list of big NFL names who suffered injuries. Let's look at the NFL stars who got injured in Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season.
Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals got hit with a double whammy on Sunday. They dropped to 2-2 after a brutal loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they also lost one of their star players to an injury. Ja'Marr Chase suffered a concussion after a nasty hit delivered by the Jaguars' defense. He exited the game after an evaluation and did not return to the contest.
Chase is now in the NFL's Concussion Protocol, putting his status in Week 5 in jeopardy. To make matters worse, Tee Higgins suffered an adductor injury and is currently considered day-to-day by coach Zac Taylor.
Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Barkley and the Eagles have not been playing well as of late. After a 2,000-yard season two years ago, Barkley hasn't come even remotely close to that level of production. Adding salt to this wound is the hamstring injury Barkley suffered in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams. Barkley, who dealt with injuries early in his career, exited the game
Barkley is now considered to be week-to-week due to his injury. His status for Week 5 is unclear as of now.
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are having an electric start to the season. Save for a dud loss to the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore is looking pretty dominant to start the year. Unfortunately, their momentum was slightly halted after Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury in their win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Jackson was seen in a walking boot after the game, prompting fears that a long-term injury was in the cards for the Ravens star.
Thankfully for Ravens fans, Jackson's injury is considered day-to-day for the time being.
Tyquan Thornton, Kansas City Chiefs
Thornton has had an up-and-down career, but he had arguably one of his best performances in Week 4 for the Chiefs. The speedy wide receiver had two touchdowns against the Las Vegas Raiders and helped stabilize what was an inconsistent wide receiver room. Unfortunately, Thornton suffered a gruesome ankle injury late in the game, dislocating his left ankle.
His ankle was reset back into place, but Thornton is now out indefinitely as testing is done on his injured limb. It's also worth pointing out that Rashee Rice, the Chiefs' top wide receiver, suffered a hamstring injury in the same game and did not return to the contest.

One of the cornerstones of Denver's tenacious defense, Patrick Surtain, suffered an ankle injury during their contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Arguably the best cornerback in the game, Surtain's injury brought some concerns for the Broncos, especially considering their depth at that position.
Broncos fans could breathe a sigh of relief, though, as Surtain's injury is said to be a “short-term” one.
Paris Johnson Jr, Arizona Cardinals
Perhaps it's because of where he plays, but Paris Johnson has been one of the better tackles in the league over the last few years. He's been a stable presence on what has been a chaotic team. Unfortunately, Johnson exited the game with what looked like an arm injury against the New York Giants.
It has been announced that Johnson will be out for the rest of the season with a bicep injury.
Edgerrin Cooper, Green Bay Packers
With Micah Parsons still out with an injury, the Packers have been looking for a player to step up for them in the pass rush department. Edgerrin Cooper was one of these players who was doing a good job without Parsons. Unfortunately, Cooper went down with what looked like a serious leg injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Cooper is now out for the season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon.
Other notable names that suffered an injury in Week 4 are Buccaneers CB Antoine Winfield Jr (rib), Eagles EDGE Jonathan Greenard (ankle), 49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk (ankle), Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (foot), Chargers LT Joe Alt (neck), and Bills WR DJ Moore (shoulder).
