Fox Sports' Robert Griffin III has built a successful broadcasting career, but he appears to be eyeing a return to the NFL. Griffin, 36, last took the NFL field for the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, but in an interview on the Dan Patrick Show on Friday, Griffin hinted that a comeback to the league may be possible.
“Things are percolating there Dan, let’s just put it that way,” Griffin said. “I’m pretty content, very happy. I’m a girl-dad of four. Got a very happy life. Love my wife. Enjoying life to the fullest. And then all these quarterbacks started going down. So I’m sitting there like, ‘Well, I could probably go play better than Cooper Rush, and better than this dude over here.'”
While teasing a potential NFL return, he expressed his love and appreciation for his current position at Fox Sports as a college football color commentator.
“What I would say is that there have been some conversations that have been happening and I’m very happy at Fox Sports. I’m very happy with what I’m doing. It would have to be the right opportunity to get me to go do that again. We’ll see if it pops up. But I’m very happy at Fox Sports. They treat me well. I love my team. We’re having a good time. And I’m not going to sacrifice that just to try to make headlines.”
