The Arizona Cardinals are 1-1 to start the season, and they haven't got the most out of some of their players to start the season. Marvin Harrison Jr. is one of those players, as he's struggled to find any rhythm within the offense. Through two weeks, the wide receiver has only had four targets and one reception for 33 yards.
This has led many people to question his future with the Cardinals, and there's a chance he could see himself with a new team at some point, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
“Execs around the league are wondering whether the Arizona Cardinals could explore trading 2024 No. 4 pick Marvin Harrison Jr. ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline,” Graziano wrote. “Harrison was held without a catch in Week 2. The team signed fellow wide receiver Michael Wilson Jr. to a contract extension this offseason. They have a new coaching staff and a new offense.
“Harrison is extension-eligible after this season, and as of now, the Cardinals would have a hard time paying him based on what he's shown in the league so far. It's worth watching out for a potential change-of-scenery deal in this case.”
The Houston Texans are currently a team that could use some wide receiver help, especially with Nico Collins sidelined with a hamstring injury. Someone asked Texans insider Jonathan Alexander if there was a chance that the Texans would make a trade for him, and the idea was shut down.
“I would never say never but at this point, the odds are low,” Alexander wrote. “The Texans will get Collins back soon, and expect to get Tank Dell back at some point this year, too. Those additions alone would be better options than getting Diggs or Harrison midseason.”
Alexander noted how Harrison hasn't looked good to start the season, which should have others concerned about how he'd look with a new team.
