Our next week of pro football kicks off with an intriguing NFC-AFC showdown as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Denver Broncos. Both teams are Super Bowl contenders, but both have also struggled at times this season. That should make for a fun Thursday nighter. So, with that, let’s jump right into the ClutchPoints NFL Week 6 picks, predictions, and odds column.

Week 5 was a weird one, but one that brought us a lot of dramatic finishes. Starting with Todd Bowles' passing up a game-sealing field goal on Thursday and ending with Sean McVay and Joe Brady both making some odd calls in the Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills overtime thriller on Monday night, this week highlighted how covering the spread is always in doubt when NFL coaches start getting tight in close games.

We also got a thriller in London between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars, the Houston Texans getting their first win of the season, a potential NFC Championship Game preview with the Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, and quite possibly the dumbest tie in NFL history, courtesy of the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.

Can Week 6 possibly top that?

As we look at the Week 6 calendar, we welcome back the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers from their bye weeks, while we bid adieu to the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Minnesota Vikings until Week 7.

For the NFL Week 5 slate, we start with a Thursday nighter, get another 9:30 am ET kick from London, followed up by seven early-window Sunday games, just three late-window showdowns, a Sunday night tilt, and a standalone Monday night affair.

The ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column missed some winners on a wild football weekend, but got back on the winning side of things against the spread. We went 7-8 straight up and 8-6-1 ATS last week. That brings us to 47-32 (59.5%) straight up and 36-40-3 (47.4%) ATS on the season thus far.

So, let’s get right into the NFL Week 6 picks, predictions, and odds.

Courtesy of DraftKings, here are the NFL odds.

Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) at Denver Broncos

There are two reasons we like the Broncos here. First, they are back at home, and both Bo Nix and the entire Broncos team are much better at home than they are on the road. The Mile High Effect is real, and the Seahawks could struggle late in this game, which has become Bo Nix Time in the last two seasons.

The other reason we like the home team getting the points here is that the public has been awful at picking prime-time games this season, and the people like the Seahawks here. It’s not a huge difference, but about 60% of the public is on the favored visitors.

Pick: Broncos 21-20

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5)

Congrats to the Texans for getting their first win of the season, and for adding Marvin Harrison Jr.! Now get ready to eat another L. Trevor Lawrence owns CJ Stroud, and teams that stay overseas for back-to-back games are undefeated in the second matchup to this point.

Now, all those facts are good enough to be the reason we pick the Jaguars on Sunday morning. However, here at the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column, we have a much simpler system. See, the Texans stink, and they won last week because the Titans stink more. So, we’ll take the Jags.

Pick: Jaguars 28-20

Chicago Bears (-1.5) at Atlanta Falcons

It looks like the Bears will have Caleb Williams for this game, and the Falcons will feature Michael Penix Jr. That is good news for both sides, and means that this could become a track meet inside the dome in Atlanta. Both these teams have a Jekyll and Hyde quality, though, so you never know who will show up for this game.

Williams coming back and playing in a climate-controlled environment should be fun to watch, and hopefully, he is fully healed from his hamstring injury. On the other side, Penic’s rib injury is likely still quite painful, so we’ll see if he makes the whole game. That’s the biggest reason we like the Bears here.

Pick: Bears 33-30

Baltimore Ravens (-4.5) at Cleveland Browns

If Lamar Jackson was definitely going to play, maybe we’d feel different here at the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column, but since the Ravens QB did not practice on Thursday, it looks as though it may be Tyle Huntley again for Baltimore.

With their QB1 out, the Ravens have a tough test against the Browns. Cleveland did lose to the New York Jets last weekend, but outside of that, they have looked good through four weeks of the season. Against a divisional opponent as a pretty significant home dog, we’ll take them to not only cover, but win, here.

Pick: Browns 23-21

New York Jets at New England Patriots (-7.5)

It looks as though the Patriots have flipped the switch to ON for the 2026 season, as they now look a lot like the Super Bowl team of 2025. If that’s the case, there is a real chance they go to New York and put a hurting on the Jets, which they did last year to the tune of a 69-24 aggregate score in two meetings.

These aren’t the 2025 Jets, though. They are spunkier than they’ve been in years, and even on the road, they should at least look like a competent team. Since this is a division game and we believe in Gang Green a bit more this time around, we’ll take them to at least cover, though not win outright.

Pick: Patriots 21-16

New Orleans Saints (-1.5) at New York Giants

In a 3-1-1 team taking on a 1-4 team this late in the season, the team with the (much) better winning percentage has never been a home dog. Enter the 2026 New York Giants. This is the Rodeny Dangerfield of football teams, getting no respect at all, despite finding ways to win (or at least time) in nearly every game.

We get it. You have Jameis Winston and a bunch of interesting characters finding out a way to win despite their obvious limitations. But for the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column, we just don’t believe the Saints are the team to stop this trend. Give us the points and the Geeeeee-men at home!

Pick: Giants 19-17

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-7)

While the Titans are not good at all, are the Colts that much better? This is a divisional game, which is often closer than meets the eye, and Indy hasn’t earned enough trust yet to be favored by a touchdown over anyone.

There have been times this season where the Titans have been frisky against a mediocre to bad team, and coming off last week’s blowout, look for them to play with a little more pride. We still like the Colts to win, but we think the Titans will at least make it a game against their AFC South rival.

Pick: Colts 13-10

Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5)

This line obviously changed dramatically with the news that Jalen Hurts will be out with a blood clot. Now, we have the Panthers coming off a bye and heading to Philadelphia to take on Tanner McKee and the Eagles. Not exactly a scenario that strikes fear in the heart.

As tempting as it is to take the Panthers here, we are going to buck convention here and go with the Eagles. Why? Because this is the year of the backup QB, with second-stringers going 9-5-1 SU and 10-5 ATS in the first five weeks. We may not know who McKee is, but the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column believes in him!

Pick: Eagles 19-18

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Speaking of backup quarterbacks, Jalon Daniels got his first win last week over the Cowboys and added to the stat above about backups succeeding at a high level this season. However, backups are backups for a reason, so it would make sense if he came back down to earth in Week 6.

Aaron Rodgers has historically done very well down in Florida, and the Todd Bowles stats coming off of prime-time games are not good. All that said, we like the cut of Daniels’ jib, and Bucky Irving could have another good game against a mediocre Steelers run defense. This is bucking most of the trends, but we’ll take the Buccaneers to pull off an upset.

Pick: Buccaneers 24-23

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-12.5)

If the Rams keep playing like they are playing and the Cardinals keep playing like they are playing, then the highest spread of the week may not be high enough. The Cardinals are the odd men out in the NFC West right now, which is going to lead to some lopsided scores this season.

This is a high number, but at home against a struggling Cardinals squad, we’re not afraid of it. This seems like a Ras blowout, so we’ll lay the points and take the better team to win big.

Pick: Rams 35-22

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Bills stayed out west this week, which is an interesting travel strategy for an NFL team. They extended their business trip six days, and may be better off against the Raiders because of it. It should focus the team more, unless they celebrated too much in LA, then carried the party on to Vegas.

Travel plans aside, the Bills are the better team here, and they should take care of business against a team that started the season hot but has cooled down the last few weeks. The Raiders have shown promise, but they are a year away from being legit contenders, so the ClutchPoints NFL Week 6 picks, predictions, and odds column will take the Bills big.

Pick: Bills 35-25

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-8.5)

Andy Reid and the Chiefs have been incredible coming off their bye weeks since the head coach took over in 2016. So, even if this game was on the road against a good team, we’d probably be inclined to take KC anyway.

That said, this is at home against one of the worst teams in the NFL to this point, so give us the Chiefs to win in a rout. Until the 0-5 ATS Chargers show us anything at all, we’ll keep stacking wins thanks to their ineptitude.

Pick: Chiefs 30-17

Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-1.5)

The Packers may have found something last week, going bombs away against the Bears and chewing up yards and touchdowns in the process. And this week, they get the Cowboys' secondary, which may be the worst in the league.

We’ll also hang our hats here on the fact that the public has been bad at picking prime time games, and somewhat inexplicably, more than 55% of the money is coming in on the Cowboys on the road. That’s a head-scratcher, but thanks, John Q. Public!

Pick: Packers 28-24

Washington Commanders at San Francisco 49ers (-7.5)

The Commanders probably won’t let the clock run out in overtime for this one, because overtime is not going to be on the table here. Even with their usual amount of substation-related injuries, the 49ers are a wagon right now, and going all the way across the country is not going to work out well for Washington.

The touchdown spread is big, but also somehow doesn’t feel like quite enough. The only thing that gives us pause here is that the public likes the Niners in this prime-time game, too, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Pick: 49ers 33-17
