The game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday was marred by a heated interaction between Trey McBride and a referee in the fourth quarter.
With five minutes left on third-and-2, Dru Philipps made contact with McBride before the ball arrived. However, Jeff Seeman, the line judge, did call a pass interference or an illegal contact penalty on Phillips, prompting McBride to complain. Seeman then appeared to say “F*** you” to the fifth-year tight end.
After the game, the NFL said it will review Seeman's apparent use of profanity.
