Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has taken another meaningful step toward a possible Week 3 return after practicing on consecutive days while recovering from a glute injury.
Darnold returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant after missing Seattle’s Week 2 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He practiced again Thursday, and coach Mike Macdonald said the Seahawks plan to decide by Friday whether Darnold will start Sunday vs. the Washington Commanders.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport highlighted the progress Thursday on X, formerly Twitter, while discussing Darnold’s improving outlook.
“He has participated in practice the last two days. Was out there Wednesday, first day of the game week. That is an excellent, excellent sign as he recovers from a glute injury.”
