The National Football League has been busy leading up to Week 3 action, keeping a close eye on teams including the Cowboys and Ravens, who got the greenlight for their matchup in Brazil amid field condition concerns. The league also announced a series of fines handed down including to high-profile players recently engaged Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown and Cincinnati Bengals star Tee Higgins.
Twenty-two fines were issued according to reporter Tom Pelissero for Week 2 infractions, mostly because of illegal celebrations and “vulgar acts,” he wrote.
“Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and Bengals WR Tee Higgins tied for the lead with four fines each totaling $59,704,” Pellisero said.
St. Brown, whose Lions are ranked in the top 15 of this week's NFL Power Rankings, imitated rolling up and smoking during his team's Week 2 loss to the Bills. He said after the game that he had heard from the NFL and the result was “not good.”

Higgins found himself in the same boat after the Bengals' 20-6 road win over the Houston Texans. He celebrated along with teammate Ja'Marr Chase on a controversial play that also drew a fine.

Chase lamented the fine after the game, saying that he did the ‘People's Elbow,” a wrestling move popularized by Dwayne ‘The Rock' Johnson.
“This is where the superstars have to get in with NFLPA and fight for our money,” Chase said. “I'm getting fined for an elbow…It's a wrestling move.”
St. Brown and Higgins' four fines were each valued at $14,926. St. Brown's teammate Jameson Williams was also fined $11,941, adding to a fine-heavy week in the National Football League.
