On Monday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks picked up their first win of the season with a narrow home victory over the Indiana Pacers. While it might not have been the most significant sporting event for Milwaukee fans that evening, it was still a strong performance against a team that views itself as a contender in the Eastern Conference.
The Bucks aren’t exactly a free agent hot spot at the current moment as they embrace the early stages of a rebuild, but recently, NBA insider Marc Stein detailed one player who turned down opportunities with more marquee teams to stick with Milwaukee.
“The 76ers and Lakers, league sources say, both registered two-way contract interest in Pete Nance after Milwaukee released the 26-year-old last weekend. But the Bucks, as The Stein Line reported last Sunday, believed they could get Nance to stay in Brewtown on a two-way with them and were proven correct. Nance is still a Buck,” reported Stein on his Substack.
Nance has bounced around the league after going undrafted back in 2023, and he has been a member of the Bucks’ organization off and on since February of 2025, signing multiple two-way deals with the team in that span, including one earlier this month.
Nance is a talented power forward who brings size and athleticism to the Milwaukee frontcourt, having appeared in 47 games for the team last year, including starting six of them. Clearly, the Bucks are happy with what he has brought to the table thus far, and want to keep the 26 year-old around for the foreseeable future.
In any case, the Bucks will next hit the floor on Wednesday evening for a home game against the Houston Rockets.
