The New York Jets lost a tough game to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. New York has now dropped to 2-5 on the 2026 campaign as a result of this defeat. During the game, a brutal stat was made public that further showed how bad things have become.
The Jets have been outscored 107-6 in the final two minutes of the first half under Glenn. This is across 24 games. On Sunday, former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin had quite the reaction to this information.
“With three games in, you've got enough body of work to determine what your weaknesses are, and then plot out a course to fix them. But they've been looking at this particular weakness since the beginning of last season… If I were them, I would do two-minute every day of my life until further notice,” Tomlin said on NBC's coverage of Sunday Night Football.
This troubling trend continued on Sunday against Miami. The Dolphins already had a lead of 14-7 as time ticked away in the first half. Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis then extended the lead to 21-7 with a two-yard rush at the end of the half.
Article Continues BelowNew York showed some promise earlier this season. They had close games with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions early on that made it seem like this team may be turning a corner. However, the wins have not followed. On Sunday, they lost to a previously winless Dolphins team that is not close to contention this year.
New York has to find ways to turn things around this season. If they don't, Glenn's tenure as head coach may end sooner rather than later. The Jets will try to bounce back on November 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
