The Raiders haven’t had a lot of success since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, but things may be changing. The Raiders are 3-0, on Sunday they host the 3-0 Chiefs, and Maxx Crosby says now is the time to show what kind of home-field advantage Allegiant Stadium can provide.

Crosby said that unlike Oakland and Los Angeles, where the rabid fans of the Black Hole were legendary, Vegas is a city where the Raiders are going to need to develop a fan base that isn’t yet so invested in the team.

“We’re gonna need the fans at full effect, and that’s all season,” Crosby said. “We have to earn our stadium, and having the fans here. In Oakland it’s built in, fans are going to show up, it’s going to be Silver and Black. L.A. is the same thing. But Vegas is a different type of city. We’re new to this city and we have to win. The fans come out, they want to see a winner. We have to earn that.”

Crosby thinks winning comes first and the home-field advantage follows.

“We take it one day at a time and keep earning the respect, and love and passion for the fans. We know the fans have it, to fill that stadium every Sunday with Silver and Black, we’ve got to continue winning and keep putting a great product out there for the fans,” Crosby said.

If the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Sunday, a whole lot of Las Vegas fans will be buying in.
