Given how good Cooper Flagg already is, it's easy to forget that he's yet to turn 20 years of age. The 19-year-old, whose birthday is on December 21, 2006, is blossoming into a legitimate superstar for the Dallas Mavericks right before our very eyes, and something higher up there than the sky appears to be the limit for him.

Flagg entered the night with 1,624 points to his name — having scored all of them as a teenager. This total had him tied with Kevin Durant for the fourth-most points scored by any NBA player aged 19 or younger. But by scoring on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs, Flagg moved in sole possession of fourth place, behind LeBron James (2,362), Kobe Bryant (1,759), and Cooper Flagg (1,725), as per ESPN Insights on X.

The Mavericks star entered their contest against the Spurs on Wednesday averaging 25.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in his sophomore season. This is not the way a typical teenager produces in such a talented league as the NBA, and Flagg is lifting the Mavericks up with him.

Alas, even the best have their off-nights. Flagg, simply put, has not had it on Wednesday. He's been scuffling as of late; he scored 17 on just 3-of-19 shooting from the field on Monday in a loss to the Sacramento Kings, and he is following that up with another rough scoring night, putting up 11 points on 4-of-15 shooting through the third quarter of their clash against the Spurs.

Slumps are part of life, especially for a player as young as Flagg is. Nonetheless, he has plenty of time to pad his stats as a teenager. The Mavericks have 17 games (after this Spurs contest) left before Flagg turns 20, and if he averages around 25 points, his current season average, in those games, he will move to second all-time on the teenage NBA scoring list.
