The Seattle Mariners end the 2026 season with a 76-86 record and will not advance to the playoffs. Shortly after Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels, the franchise announced that it is moving on from manager Dan Wilson.
President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced that Wilson will not be returning to Seattle in 2027, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports. Dipoto issued a statement regarding the Mariners' decision to fire its manager immediately after the final game of the campaign.
