The Jacksonville Jaguars lost a heartbreaking game on Sunday to the Houston Texans. Jacksonville appeared to have a touchdown at one point in the game that was wiped out by a penalty. The NFL Network crew was stunned after an offensive holding infraction was called.
“I don't know how that's a holding call. Wow… I don't see holding there at all… That's a phantom call,” Louis Riddick said on the broadcast, per Awful Announcing.
The sequence occurred early in the second quarter with the Jaguars trailing Houston, 7-0. The Jaguars would go on to lose the game, 34-31.
It was a tough loss for the Jacksonville team hoping to win the AFC South. The Jaguars are now 4-2 on the campaign, following the loss.
“Penalties dogged the Jaguars for a third straight week. They were flagged for too many men on the field on a Houston punt — extending a Texans drive that ended with Noel’s touchdown,” the Associated Press reported.
