One of the thousands of attendees at the first 2026 NFL London game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Commanders was Oasis guitarist and lyricist Noel Gallagher.

The fans in attendance serenaded Gallagher with one of his own songs, “Wonderwall.” Thousands sang along as the song played over the PA system.

Of course, this is nothing new for Gallagher. Oasis has similar crowds sing their songs back to them when on tour. Given that this was at an NFL game, it had to have been special.

Oasis recently reformed for a reunion tour in 2025. It was the first time since 2009 that Liam and Noel Gallagher performed together. A 2027 leg was announced and will take place from May 21 to Sep. 26.

In Week 4, the NFL held its first of three London games of the year. The Colts' divisional rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars, will play back-to-back weeks at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Weeks 5 and 6. Indianapolis has rebounded from a 0-2 start by beating the Houston Texans and the Commanders over the last two weeks.

It wasn't always pretty, but they pulled it out against Washington. The Commanders lost backup quarterback Marcus Mariota — who is filling in for the injured Jayden Daniels — early, resulting in seventh-round draft pick Athan Kaliakmanis coming in. He played admirably, passing for 186 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough to win.

Daniel Jones, meanwhile, didn't play much better than Kaliakmanis. He only threw for 143 yards (averaging 4.2 yards per attempt) and an interception. He did rush for a touchdown, however.

Jonathan Taylor remains the engine of the team. He rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor has already rushed for 353 yards and six touchdowns. He has also caught 10 passes for 69 yards.
