The Baltimore Ravens end the regular season with four consecutive divisional matchups, so it is important to stack wins now and minimize the importance of those AFC North meetings. They are off to a good start, but a Lamar Jackson ankle injury could halt their momentum heading into Sunday's game versus the Atlanta Falcons. The two-time MVP quarterback was not on the field for the portion of Friday's practice that is open to the media and has now been unable to participate all week, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter initially said that Jackson could potentially play even if he does not get any practice time in, but fans know what this type of news usually means. The likelihood of Baltimore (3-1) facing Atlanta (2-2) without No. 8 just increased.

If Jackson is ruled out, solid backup Tyler Huntley will take snaps under center instead. The man they call “Snoop” valiantly filled the role last season, doing what he could to keep the team afloat until the face of the franchise returned. Baltimore does not want to simply survive this year, though.

Following a gut-wrenching end to the 2025 campaign, the Ravens are focused on building momentum early and going into the playoff push with a healthy Lamar Jackson. It might be difficult to fulfill those two objectives simultaneously, however. The 29-year-old still has a couple days to manage his ankle before the battle of the birds commences in Mercedes-Bank Stadium, but even if he does play, one has to assume that his mobility will be limited.

Jackson has completed 70.8 percent of his passes for 967 yards and six touchdowns while tossing only one interception and rushing for another 144 yards and one score. Stay tuned for a final injury update.
