A viral fan caught the attention of Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic by dancing to a song by iconic boy band NSYNC during the team's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors.
Doncic sat out of the Lakers' game against the Warriors. That doesn't mean he didn't enjoy the game, though, as he was taking in the sights during the first quarter break.

Why did Luka Doncic miss the Lakers' preseason game against the Warriors?

After sitting out last week's preseason game against the Warriors, Doncic did the same on Tuesday, Oct. 13. He is still recovering from a hamstring injury that affected him in the playoffs.
While he has looked good in limited preseason action, Lakers coach JJ Reddick opted to have him sit out of the latest Warriors clash, noting that there was “no injury” to be concerned about.
Article Continues BelowThe Lakers have one more preseason game against the Denver Nuggets before opening the regular season against the Warriors on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
You could argue that Doncic is coming off the best season of his career. He played in 64 games and started all of them during the 2025-26 regular season. He averaged 33.5 points per game, his highest mark since the 2023-24 season with the Dallas Mavericks. Additionally, he averaged 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.
He is now the unquestioned leader of the Lakers with LeBron James' departure. The Lakers are hoping to make it past the Western Conference Semifinals in 2026. They narrowly survived the Houston Rockets after almost blowing a 3-0 series lead. They were then swept by the then-reigning NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
