Kylian Mbappe has been revealed as the face of On's expansion into football.
The World Cup winner will wear the Swiss brand's first pair of football boots after leaving Nike.
Mbappe's long-term deal expired this summer, allowing him to complete a switch to On.
The firm is best known for their running shoes, but have already branched out into tennis.
Roger Federer, who has been a shareholder since 2019, began wearing their footwear on court in 2021.
Meanwhile, US Open finalist Ben Shelton is also sponsored by the sportswear brand.
Mbappe joins On
On have now added Mbappe to their roster alongside the appointment of Thierry Henry as director of football.
The former Arsenal forward has been working in the role since last year, but it has only now been officially announced.
Henry is said to have played a role in convincing Mbappe to leave Nike for On.
The firm have also extended their partnership with Switzerland and Barcelona midfielder Sydney Schertenleib.
Speaking after the launch of their football division, Mbappe explained: "From the beginning, what drew me to On was the opportunity to build something entirely new together that will help shape tomorrowâÂÂs game.
"I want to bring my experience and perspective into what we create, push whatâÂÂs possible through innovation, and always stay true to the joy of football.
"We have a shared dream, and this is only the beginning."
Could Mbappe emulate Michael Jordan?
Mbappe had previously launched his own signature football boot with Nike back in 2017.
A similar move with On could see him emulate the success of NBA legend Michael Jordan, says Andy Brassell.
The European football journalist tipped the Real Madrid forward for a similar move prior to his switch being confirmed.
Speaking on talkSPORT's Trans Euro Express in June, Brassell admitted: "The boot thing is quite interesting. His deal is up for renewal.
"They (Nike) think itâÂÂs 50-50 whether theyâÂÂll get him again, which is not a particularly optimistic projection for someone theyâÂÂve had a close relationship with for a very long time, since he was a kid.
"HeâÂÂs speaking to a brand apparently that doesnâÂÂt currently make football boots. So whether thatâÂÂs a fashion brand or whatever, we donâÂÂt know.
"But he might want to create, like Michael Jordan did all those years ago, his own little off-shoot."
Nike launched the Air Jordan basketball shoe in partnership with Jordan back in 1984 having signed the then 21-year-old after he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls.
They subsequently introduced the Jordan Brand, with the six-time NBA champion holding a royalties deal for any products sold using his name.
The endorsement deal has since helped Jordan amass a net worth of $4.7billion (ã3.5bn), according to Forbes.
As a result, the 63-year-old is currently within the top 1,000 richest people in the world as well as being the first NBA player to become a billionaire.
