Kyle Shanahan: Mike Evans' hip injury is not serious

49ers wide receiver Mike Evans left Sunday’s game in the second half.

The 49ers listed him as questionable to return with a hip injury, but Evans didn’t return.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Evans’ removal was precautionary, and he could have returned. The 49ers led 35-6 at the time and won 35-13.

“No, it didn’t [look serious],” Shanahan said postgame, via Nick Wagoner of ESPN. “It can always change tomorrow, but if the game was different, he would’ve been able to come back in.”

Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. have high-ankle sprains, per Shanahan.
