It was anything but a stellar night for the New York Knicks against the Brooklyn Nets, but Ben Stiller celebrated Landry Shamet, who led the team in scoring off the bench.
As the game was winding down, Stiller took to X, formerly Twitter, to give a shoutout to the role player, writing, “LANDRY SHAMET 22 pts.”
Shamet led the Knicks in points, scoring 22 points off the bench. He was hot all night, making six of eight attempts and logging a rebound and an assist.
Landry Shamet came alive in the Knicks' win vs. the Nets

It was an unusually off night for the Knicks against the Nets. Brooklyn kept it close throughout, but New York pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring their in-state rivals 28-11.
Shamet played 30 minutes off the bench, as Mike Brown opted to play him more than starters Josh Hart (27 minutes) and Mikal Bridges (16 minutes).
He made the most of his opportunities, going 4-for-6 on three-pointers. It looked a lot like his performances in the playoffs last season. If he keeps it up, he may continue taking minutes from the likes of Bridges.
Article Continues BelowNot everyone struggled to the same degree. Karl-Anthony Towns continued his streak of double-doubles, barely extending it to seven to start the season. He only scored 11 points but had 16 rebounds against the Nets.
Jalen Brunson showed flashes of his NBA Finals MVP form. He scored 19 points but made just six of 16 shots (he went 4-for-11 on three-pointers, though). He uncharacteristically made just 50% (three of six) of his free throws.
The Knicks continue clawing their way to .500 with their latest win. They will play the Chicago Bulls next on Wednesday, Nov. 4. They just beat the Bulls in Chicago a week ago. Hopefully, they can do it again. They will then play the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time this season on Saturday, Nov.7.
