Ahead of the New York Knicks' Opening Night game against the Philadelphia 76ers, OG Anunoby shouted out Anne Hathaway, who is his biggest fan.
He posted a picture of her wearing his jersey—which he gifted her—while on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the last slide of his latest post on Instagram.

The two have a very unique bond. In April 2026, Hathaway appeared on The Tonight Show and joked that she almost wore Anunoby's jersey on the show since the Knicks were in the middle of their playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks.
“I'm also the type of fan that I considered wearing an OG out here today,” Hathaway said to Fallon. “Because when I'm at the game, I want them to know that I know who they are and that they're gonna win.”
In the following games after her shoutout, Anunoby played out of his mind. He scored 29 points, a team-high, in his team's 51-point win over the Hawks, and averaged 23.5 points per game in the next few games after she mentioned him.
She returned to The Tonight Show in October 2026. Anunoby gifted her a signed jersey and a card congratulating her on her pregnancy.

Before his time with the Knicks, Anunoby won a championship with the Toronto Raptors. He was integral in the Knicks' championship, winning the team Game 4 of the NBA Finals with his iconic tip-in.
The Knicks will open their season against the new-look Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 20. The teams met in the playoffs, with New York making easy work of Philadelphia and sweeping them. However, they are different teams now, as the Sixers added LeBron James and Jaylen Brown in the offseason.
