The Utah Jazz and fourth-year guard Keyonte George have agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million contract extension that keeps him with the team through the 2031-32 NBA season, first reported by ESPN.

George, 22, became an essential part of Utah's core during the 2025-26 season, cementing himself as one of the NBA's best young guards. Since being drafted 16th overall in 2023, George's growth with the Jazz has been exponential, and he enters the 2026-27 season with big expectations.

Last season, George started all 54 games he played in, averaging 23.6 points and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from 3-point range.

He was only one of nine players to average at least 23 points and six assists per game during the 2025-26 season, joining the likes of All-Stars Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Maxey, Devin Booker, Jalen Brunson, Jamal Murray, Cade Cunningham, and James Harden.

The Jazz believe George is an essential piece to what they have been building over the last few years, and he will now enter the 2026-27 season as one of the team's lead focal points alongside Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr.
