The Buffalo Bills have another injury concern to monitor after starting right tackle Spencer Brown exited Monday night’s Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Brown was seen walking off the field alongside team athletic trainers before entering the blue medical evaluation tent on Buffalo’s sideline. That's according to The Buffalo News reporter Lance Lysowski.
His departure forced reserve tackle Tylan Grable into action on the right side. This creates an immediate challenge for an offensive line tasked with protecting Josh Allen against a dangerous Rams pass rush. The Bills had yet to provide a definitive update on Brown’s condition. That leaves his future availability uncertain.
Brown’s potential absence would be a significant concern for Buffalo. At 6-foot-8 and more than 310 pounds, he has developed into a physical presence on the offensive line. He has helped create running lanes for James Cook while providing crucial protection for Allen. With Buffalo already managing injuries elsewhere on the roster, losing another established starter could test the team’s depth at an especially important position. Grable now has an opportunity to hold down right tackle. However, replacing Brown’s experience and physicality is no small assignment.

He steadily became a cornerstone of the Bills’ front five. He started every game during the 2023 season, demonstrating the durability and consistency that helped establish his reputation as a powerful run-blocker. Buffalo rewarded his development with a four-year contract extension before the 2024 season. That signaled the organization’s confidence in his long-term value. With the Bills navigating a demanding 2026 campaign, Brown’s status will be worth watching closely.
