Week 1 of the NFL season is officially in the books, and Josh Allen is already receiving MVP endorsements. Super Bowl champion quarterback and new CBS NFL analyst Russell Wilson appeared on the Set Hut podcast and shared where he thinks Allen will land in MVP voting. After significant buzz around Josh Allen's viability as an MVP, he finally won the award in the 2024 season.

“Will Josh, uh, Allen win his second MVP? I think that he has a definite chance to win it, and I'm calling out that he's probably gonna win it this year because I think he knows it's time for the Buffalo Bills. New stadium, all things new. New coach. You know, obviously the coach had been with him in Joe Brady, but I think it's gonna make a difference this year.”

Many believed that the Texans' defense would have a huge effect on Allen and the offense in Sunday's matchup, but Allen threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 23 yards on six carries and getting two touchdowns with his legs. The Bills were ultimately able to outduel the Texans, despite a standout performance from CJ Stroud, who had 270 passing yards and two touchdowns, along with two carries for 15 yards.

The Bills are now set to face another tough matchup on Thursday evening to kick off week 2 when they face off against Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions, with national attention on the game via Prime Video. The game could go a long way in solidifying Allen as one of the names to watch in the NFL MVP debate.
