The Indianapolis Colts entered the season hoping to find their way back into contention, but somewhere along the way, they seem to have lost the map.
The Colts are sitting on a 2-5 record, including a three-game losing streak, heading into their face-off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. It will be their first game without Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, who were traded to the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers, respectively, in exchange for draft assets.
Many viewed it as the signal for Indianapolis' rebuild. Jonathan Taylor, however, dismissed the notion.
“You think we’re rebuilding?” asked Taylor in the video posted by The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.
“I would say we're going out there trying to win. At the end of the day, we're going out there trying to win. Being a competitor, and not only for myself, but for everybody in this locker room, no one goes out there to wave the white flag and surrender.”

The 27-year-old running back acknowledged that losing Nelson and Buckner, a pair of proven stars, at this point in the campaign was tough. He, however, stressed that they still have a job to do.
“We're going out there to compete. We're going out there to get a win. Every time you go on the field, you want to dominate and show that you're the best. So that's what we're gonna continue to do,” added Taylor.

Taylor is also rumored to be traded before the deadline, with the Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints, and the Washington Commanders being floated as possible destinations.
In seven games, the three-time Pro Bowler has 140 carries for 587 yards and eight touchdowns.
