Golfing legend John Daly has a simple message for Arkansas Razorbacks fans who are thinking of boycotting Saturday's game.

The Razorbacks are 1-1 to begin their 2026 campaign, beating North Alabama 31-14 before losing to 43-10 to Utah.

Arkansas' SEC opener takes place against No.2 Georgia on Saturday, and fans are planning two boycotts.

John Daly asks Arkansas fans not to boycott

The first boycott simply asks fans to skip the match and not return until the University's athletic director Hunter Yuracheck is fired.

The second protest, dubbed 'Sack Saturday', asks fans who attend the game to wear brown paper bags over their heads.

John Daly, who attended the University of Arkansas from 1984 to 1987, believes fans should not boycott because their support will help the university attract more players.

“I’m really upset that anyone or any of our Hog Fans would protest coming to any of our Hog football games I’m so mad I love our Hogs,” Daly wrote.

“I’ll support our coaches and players til I die and yall who protest coming is not smart.

"The more we fill our seats and boxes the more money we have for NIL so plz stop this.

"I’m a die hard Razorback and always will be I’m ashamed of whoever is doing this.”

“PLZ SUPPORT OUR HOGS AND COME TO GAME YALL OUR PLAYERS NEED US MORE NOW THAN EVER NEVER GIVE UP WPS.

Arkansas' roster budget sits between $22-$25 million, which would make it the lowest figure in the SEC, according to The Athletic.

Daly's main objection is that fans attending games can help increase NIL funding, and staying away could make it harder for them to improve.

Daly's passionate Razorbacks fandom explained

Daly is widely considered to be one of the most iconic Arkansas alums of all time, and regularly attends Razorbacks games.

“I’ve never been a guy to back down from saying I screwed up or whatever,” Daly said to the SEC Network in 2022.

“I’ve been loyal and they’ve been loyal to me. The only way to explain fans of Arkansas and John Daly, is they’re loyal.

"Because I’m loyal to them and that’s just the way we are. And we’ll always be.”

Daly played collegiate golf for Arkansas, earning All-American honors, and turned professional after graduating in 1987.
