The Cincinnati Bengals finally got off to a hot start in Week 1. Cincinnati's revamped defense looked great against Tampa Bay, getting a scoop and score for the team's first touchdown of the season. There is one major play on offense that Cincinnati's franchise quarterback would like to have back.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow gave an honest answer when asked how he felt about his performance in Week 1.

“Yeah, If I didn't have that interception, I'm feeling great walking out of here. You can't make plays like that, so I got to get that fixed,” Burrow told reporters in the locker room, per Mike Petraglia. “Offensive line was pretty lights out. I thought we ran the ball, ran the ball well in spots, and you know, I got the ball to my guys in space pretty quickly.”

Burrow's one mistake of the game was a pretty big one. Buccaneers rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter picked off Burrow for a pick-six during the third quarter. That mistake helped bring Tampa Bay closer to Cincinnati on the scoreboard, making the rest of the game that much more competitive.

Burrow finished the game 25-of-35 for 254 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also added five carries for 20 rushing yards on the ground.

The Bengals may want to work to get Ja'Marr Chase more involved in their next game. Tampa put the clamps on Chase, limiting him to two receptions for 12 receiving yards on just four targets. Fortunately, tight end Mike Gesicki made up the difference by logging five receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Ultimately, getting the win in Week 1 is the most important outcome from Sunday's game. But it is good to see that Cincinnati looked good and still has an eye on improving.

Next up for the Bengals is a road game against the Texans in Week 2.
