The Baltimore Ravens cruised to an easy victory in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season. Baltimore crushed Indianapolis 41-23 thanks to elite performances from Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. But the Ravens did not come out of their season opener completely unscatched as mutiple wide receivers left with injuries.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter did not give injury updates on Zay Flowers or Ja'Kobi Lane after the game. Still, the way Minter answered the question should create some concern for Ravens fans.

“Yeah, no real updates right now. I'm kind of seeing what it looks like,” Minter said after the game, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley. “Major shout out to Chris Moore though. We decided to activate him before the game and he had a career high, I think he had 174 all-purpose yards. So, you know, it's just a credit to the depth in that room.”

Flowers left the game during the second quarter with a hamstring injury. But that did not stop him from ripping off five receptions for 150 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lane left the game with a wrist injury. It was a tough day for the rookie, who had a touchdown negated by a penalty. He missed the rest of the game, and his future prognosis is a complete unknown at this point.

Minter made a point of highlighting the team's wide receiver depth in his postgame remarks. He may simply have been giving a few players their flowers. However, it could also be viewed as preparing the fanbase for lengthy absences for both Flowers and Lane.

“We'll have to see how that looks and see what we got to do this week to get that room ready for next week,” Minter concluded.

Ravens fans should keep their eyes peeled for updates on both players over the next few days.
