The Washington Commanders will enter their bye week on a somber note. Not only did Washington lose on Monday Night Football, but they saw a veteran player suffer a brutal injury. Terry McLaurin was carted off the field after suffering a concerning knee injury during the first half. That injury could have a major impact on the rest of Washington's season.

McLaurin is feared to have suffered a serious and season-ending knee injury, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport. He will have an MRI on Tuesday to confirm the extent of the damage.

This matches concerns from head coach Dan Quinn, who worried about a significant knee injury after the game.

“The concern is that it could be significant. We'll do the scans tomorrow and give you an update when I visit with you guys,” Quinn said during his postgame remarks.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels seems worried about McLaurin as well. He will be keeping McLaurin in his prayers while the organization waits on an injury update.

“He's a brother to me. It sucks. You see how hard he works … Praying for Terry,” Daniels said, per ESPN's John Keim. “He's been there for me through a lot since I came into this league, the adverse times I went through last year and so far this year, and he's been right by my side. I love Terry and appreciate him a lot.”
