The Portland Trail Blazers have started the season undefeated, and they were able to extend the streak with a win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Damian Lillard may have hit the dagger to put the game out of reach, but it was Ja Morant who started the run for the Blazers after he hit a floater to give them a three-point lead.
Morant finished the game with 23 points and four assists, and he's one of the reasons why they've been so successful since the season started.
After the game, Morant was doing a postgame interview, and Micah Porter had to come in the middle and interrupt by hyping up his teammate.
“Call Ja,” Porter said to the camera.
Morant has fit in perfectly with the Blazers, and he looks like a good match alongside Damian Lillard in the backcourt. He was also one of the first to celebrate Lillard after this three-pointer, which prompted him to bring out the infamous “Dame Time” celebration.

“It's Dame Time,” Morant said after the game. “Time to win. In the biggest moments, guys like that normally step up. We've seen it year in and year out. To have a guy like this on this side is pretty much pick your fighter or pick your poison… I don't think it's too many celebrations you can put up there with this one.”
This has been a good start for the Blazers, and it feels like they're building off what they were able to accomplish last season. They do have a few new pieces, but they still have the same key players who are looking to have a strong season after their loss in the first round to the San Antonio Spurs.
With Morant in the fold, they have a good chance of making some noise this season.
