In the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup between the Bears and Vikings, Chicago had a chance to tie the game with a short field goal.
But Isaiah Rodgers prevented that from happening by blocking Cairo Santos’ 23-yard attempt.
Now Rodgers has been named NFC special teams player of the week.
Rodgers’ block kept Minnesota ahead 6-3 at the time. Eventually, the Vikings won 9-3.
Rodgers previously won a player of the week award for his defense in Week 3 of last season.
