Given that Lauri Markkanen is questionable on the Jazz’s injury report, a definitive update on his playing status likely will not come until game time. Markkanen initially sustained the wrist injury back on Oct. 26 in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He missed the game immediately after due to said injury, but has since returned to the lineup and played in four straight.
Markkanen has appeared in eight games for the Jazz so far this season, at a little over 30 minutes per game. He is averaging 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists with splits of 38.9 percent shooting from the field, 39.7 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 84.4 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
The Jazz are already depleted in the front court with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic sidelined due to injury. So when it comes to the question of is Lauri Markkanen playing tonight, the answer is wait until game time.
