Lauri Markkanen played in the Jazz's first four games of the 2026-27 campaign. However, he sprained his right wrist during Utah's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 26.
This resulted in him missing out on the Jazz's previous game against the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 28. Utah is off to a rough start, only winning one of its first five contests. The team is also dealing with multiple injuries in the frontcourt, especially with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic down for the count. Getting Markkanen back in the fold will be beneficial to their quality of play on both sides of the ball.
Markkanen is off a slow start with his efficiency after four games. He is averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. His shooting splits show him making 39.6% of his shots from the field, including 35.7% from beyond the arc, and 88.9% from the free-throw line.
So, when it comes to the question of if Lauri Markkanen is playing tonight vs. the Blazers, the answer is questionable.
