The Men in Blue will look to whitewash.
In a bid to draw curtains on the three-match series, India (IND) will once be up against the West Indies (WI) for the last time, as the third ODI between the two teams is set to be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh, on Saturday, October 03.
India have already asserted their dominance in the series, having clinched back-to-back wins in Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati, respectively. Their skipper, Shubman Gill, has been immaculate with his captaincy as well as on the batting front. They now have an excellent chance to clean sweep the opposition and complete a 3-nil whitewash.
The West Indies, on the other hand, failed to defend a formidable 405-7 they scored in the second ODI, thereby conceding the series. While the Caribbean batters have seemed quite comfortable batting in the subcontinent, it is their bowling that needs a little more planning. With the one-day leg of the tour already gone from their hands, they will try to pick up a consolation win on Saturday before the action moves to T20Is.
