With the Chicago Bears taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in Week 3, the status of quarterback Caleb Williams has been one that everyone is waiting to hear, as he suffered a hamstring injury in the 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. As the expectation has been that Williams won't play for the Bears on Monday, this NFL insider further cements that likelihood.

According to league insider Ian Rapoport on NFL GameDay Kickoff, he says not to expect Williams to be on the field to play for Chicago against Philadelphia on Monday night.

“Do not expect Caleb Williams to play this week on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles,” Rapoport said. “He is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury. Even Ben Johnson admitted he is likely to miss time.”

“That means miss this week's game, which generally would be when I would discuss Tyson Bagent, how capable he is as a backup quarterback because he is, except he's also in the NFL's concussion protocol,” Rapoport continued. “Did not practice today, which means it's likely Case Keenum out there for the Chicago Bears.”
