London City Lionesses owner Michele Kang believes their new training ground will be better than Premier League teams' facilities.
The WSL club, who are the first-ever team not affiliated with a men's side to reach the top flight, are building a new training centre.
It is expected to open within the next year, as they continue to take big strides in the women's game under Kang's ownership.
Kang has invested a huge amount of money into the women's football sphere and has transformed London City Lionesses.
Within 18 months of taking over in 2023, they achieved promotion to the WSL, and they've gone from strength to strength since.
Last summer, they broke the women's transfer world record by signing Grace Geyoro from Paris Saint-Germain, before going on to bring in multiple other new superstars this year.
London City Lionesses incredibly brought two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas to the club from Barcelona, also signing her teammate Mapi Leon and ex-England goalkeeper Mary Earps.
As well as investing on the pitch, the club are now in the process of building a new training ground - and it's going to be special.
New training ground 'better than Premier League clubs'
Kang told BBC Sport: "We're building a state-of-the-art training centre for our female athletes dedicated to them, built and designed for them, which will open in less than a year.
"Our architect, who has built several Premier League training centres, told me that by the time the London City training centre is up and running, it would be better than the majority of Premier League men's teams' training centres."
On the importance of making sure the women's game is equal to the men's, she added: "We have to take care of our female players better so that they can train, perform, and thrive as female athletes, not small men.
"You drive your boy to a state-of-the-art training centre and then, if you're lucky enough to have a facility nearby, you drive your girl somewhere else. Why would you accept that?"
London City Lionesses' new training facility will also help in research into injury rates in the women's game going forward.
"There are more ACL injuries among female players. Two or three times more female players get ACL injuries than male players," Kang continued.
"Something like 94 per cent of all science medical research is dedicated to men. So there's just fundamentally so little known about the female body."
How are London City Lionesses doing this season?
Two games into the WSL season, London City Lionesses are sitting seventh in the table and three points off the top.
They have won one and lost one of their opening games.
In their first game of the league campaign, they beat Manchester United 2-1, as Putellas made her WSL debut.
But a defeat to West Ham followed and now they're preparing to take on Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
