The Cleveland Guardians may have been down, but they sure as hell aren't out — not after winning Game 5 of their ALDS matchup against the Chicago White Sox, 2-0, to complete their comeback from 2-0 down in the series. It did not look very promising for the Guardians after they lost both of the games at home to start the series, but they stood their ground and got the job done, and as a result, they are now headed to the ALCS to face the Tampa Bay Rays.
Winning a postseason series is never easy. Coming back from the brink of elimination is all the more difficult. But none of that matters now for a Guardians team with a clean slate heading into the next series. And the Guardians' social media team is in its bag as they continue to celebrate the fact that it was them that sent their AL Central rival home.
They did not stop there. They also poked fun at the fact that the iconic transit system in Chicago is named the “L”, which became hilarious from the Guardians' point of view since it was them that handed the White Sox their season-ending L.

Just to rub it in even further, the Guardians' social media team snatched the White Sox's chain by calling themselves the team that was buoyed by the “power of friendship” while reducing Chicago's achievement — going from the worst team in MLB history two seasons ago to a playoff team — to “magic”.

The Guardians would know of course that this kind of euphoria doesn't last very long in baseball. There's always a game to be played tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that. And now, they will look to stun the world yet again, this time by aiming to be the team that sends the Rays, the American League's best team this season, home.
