Tiger Woods is back hitting balls again and that means fans only want one thing - another Masters run from the five-time champion.

Woods was seen running a golf clinic at Liberty National in New Jersey on Tuesday while hosting a charity event for his TGR Foundation.

The 50-year-old looked lean and healthy as he clipped balls away on the range and said ‘I can hit pretty much anything’ when asked about his current game.

It comes a couple of weeks on from Woods accepting a five-year driving ban after he rolled his car in Florida six months ago.

Woods has not played a professional event since the 2024 Open Championship when he missed the cut at Royal Troon.

He ruptured his Achilles in March 2025 and had to undergo another back surgery last October.

But as clips of Woods hitting shots circulated social media, fans began to hope another comeback could be on the cards.

The PGA Tour posted a video of Woods’ clinic on their official social media channels and suggestively added a caption including when he last played on the tour.

They added ‘Tiger putting in work’ in the text over the clip while saying: “Tiger Woods is back on the range! His last PGA Tour start was back in July 2024.”

The post unsurprisingly drew a big reaction from golf fans hoping Woods will make his playing return next year.

There’s no suggestion from Woods yet that he is planning a comeback but fans have already circled one particular date next spring.

Several fans wrote ‘2027 Masters Champion’ or ‘2027 Masters Winner’ on the clip while others went further.

One fan wrote: “After 30 plus years, PLEASE give us ONE LAST RUN! PLEASE! That’s ALL we ask!”

And another posted: “Golf just isn’t the same and just not exciting enough when Tigers not out there!! I like the other golfers too, but there’s just nothing like a tournament that Tiger is playing in!”

A third simply said: “205 days till the Masters.”

Woods, a five-time champion at Augusta National, last played the Masters in 2024 when he finished 60th.

Amid bad weather at Augusta that year, a clearly-injured Woods shot 82 and 77 over the weekend to finish last of the players who made the cut.

But Woods’ incredible Masters victory in 2019, which came after a litany of back injuries and personal problems, is one of the greatest comeback stories in sport’s history.

Woods has lifetime exemption to the Masters thanks to his past victories and there were suggestions he could have played at this year’s tournament before his Achilles injury.

We should get to see Woods in action when the new TGL season gets underway this winter.

The 15-time major winner also hosts the Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour which will take place at Riviera Country Club in mid-February next year.
