The early scuffle with the Dallas Cowboys only fired up Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants, as they hacked out an impressive win, 28-21, silencing the boisterous crowd at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Dart put on a masterclass, going 23-of-29 for 230 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He also had 11 carries for 54 yards. Many believe that he is primed for an All-Pro campaign in his sophomore year.
He remained unfazed despite being rocked by a hard hit from DeMarvion Overshown in the first quarter, which led to a heated altercation between the Giants and the Cowboys.
Isaiah Likely also stepped up, tallying eight receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
Coach John Harbaugh succeeded in his much-anticipated debut with the Giants, helping them break their eight-game losing streak to the Cowboys in primetime games in Week 1. The long drought started back in 1986.
Harbaugh was adamant about changing the culture in New York, and notching their first win was definitely a step in the right direction.
