The New York Giants are 3-1 on the season after earning a 36-24 Week 4 win over the New York Giants. It's been a nice start to the campaign despite losing Jaxson Dart to a season-ending knee injury. However, the club lost another player to injury, as Braxton Berrios is dealing with his own issue.

Reports indicate that the 30-year-old wide receiver is being placed on the IR, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Berrios suffered a foot injury in the second quarter of Sunday's contest and never returned after halftime.

“Giants are placing WR Braxton Berrios on injured reserve due to a foot injury that he sustained during Sunday's [win] over the Cardinals, per source,” Schefter reported.

Berrios will be unavailable for at least the next four weeks. The exact severity of the injury is currently unknown, but it is bad enough that the Giants felt he needed a month to recover. The eight-year veteran primarily works as the club's go-to return man, as he's fielded nine total returns so far this season for 148 total yards.

The Giants signed the former sixth-round pick to a one-year deal in the offseason. He was initially released by the Giants during roster cutdowns before the start of the season. However, he was brought back to the practice squad and eventually signed to the active roster, appearing in all four games so far this season.

Braxton Berrios began his football career in 2019 with the New York Jets. After playing four years with that franchise, he moved on to play with the Miami Dolphins for two seasons. He appeared in four games last year with the Houston Texans before signing his deal with the Giants this last offseason.
