John Harbaugh is having fun with his New York Giants squad, having a playful interaction with star receiver Malik Nabers as they prepare for the 2026 season as fellow colleagues.

Following a long tenure with the Baltimore Ravens, Harbaugh began the next chapter of his head coaching career by joining the Giants. He looks to get the franchise back to serious playoff contention, having seen New York struggle throughout the past decade.

Harbaugh got his team on the right foot in Week 1, beating the Dallas Cowboys 28-20 at home. Nabers has a key role in the offense alongside quarterback Jaxson Dart, standing out as the team's cornerstones on that side of the ball.

Harbaugh is enjoying coaching those young stars, being active with his interactions. He even tackled Nabers during the team's walkthroughs, explaining his side of the story to reporters.

“It just kind of evolved into an opportunity to tackle. I couldn't pass it up, I guess … I have done that before, so it wasn't a first,” Harbaugh said.

John Harbaugh's time with the Giants is underway as they start the year 1-0 after beating the Cowboys.

New York didn't let up on offense, scoring a touchdown in all four quarters. Dallas' mistakes, especially on the defensive side of the ball, paved the way for the hosts to coast to victory to the entertainment of their home crowd.

Jaxson Dart enjoyed an incredible performance in the season opener. He completed 23 out of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns while racking up 11 rushes for 54 yards.

Cam Skattebo had a strong night in the rushing attack. He recorded 18 rushes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Likely led the receiving corps with eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Malik Nabers caught six passes for 69 yards. Meanwhile, Devin Singletary made four receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown.

The Giants will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 as kickoff commences on Sept. 21 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
