New York Giants coach John Harbaugh says Jameis Winston will start at quarterback after Jaxson Dart’s knee injury, but the team is already exploring additional options at the position.
Dart is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season after further testing revealed damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus. His ACL remains intact, and surgery is required. Winston now takes over a Giants offense that managed only six points after Dart exited Monday’s 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
The New York Daily News' Pat Leonard shared Harbaugh’s quarterback update Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter, following the team’s walkthrough.
“John Harbaugh says Jameis Winston is the starter. He also says the Giants will bring a quarterback(s) in. He said all options are in the table, when asked if a trade was a possibility for a QB”
