Giants’ Cam Skattebo makes 1 request for fans ahead of Week 3 vs. Titans

The New York Giants are dealing with a lot of uncertainty after the season-ending knee injury of Jaxson Dart. What was supposed to be a promise-filled campaign has turned into a frustrating setback.

Dart's sudden absence has left a huge hole for a team that was beginning to build momentum. The timing could hardly be more difficult for the Giants, who were leaning on the second-year quarterback for stability and consistency.

The unfortunate twist, however, could be a rallying point for the Giants. They will face the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, and Cam Skattebo has a simple request.

“The fans gotta show up. The crowd's gotta be lit, just like it was the first week,” said Skattebo in the video posted by SNY.

“We have to have everybody's support just like we did in Week 1. I think the entire city of New York still knows we have a really good shot at this, and they love Jameis Winston. We're not going to take a step down, we're going to continue to push, continue to work. If we have our fanbase with us, and they're giving everything they've got towards us, I promise you, they're going to get everything from us.”

The Giants are looking to bounce back against the Titans after getting blown out by the Los Angeles Rams, 28-6, in Week 2.

Skattebo had 12 carries for 36 yards and four receptions for 19 yards. Winston was thrown into the fire after Dart went down in the first quarter. Winston did not perform well, going 11-of-27 for 111 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. He was sacked twice.

With Dart sidelined for the season, there will be added pressure on the rest of the offense, particularly Skattebo, Devin Singletary, Malik Nabers, and Isaiah Likely, to step up and navigate an unexpected hurdle.
