MIAMI – With the Miami Heat's brutal start to the season at a 0-4 record after losing to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, 113-109, there could be some in the sports world who are pressing the panic button on the season. As the Heat look to right the ship, star Giannis Antetokounmpo has advice for the team that could go a long way.
While Miami made some progress on Monday, it still ended in disappointment as the team's offense sputtered in the final six minutes of the game, scoring just four points, leading to Dallas taking control of the game late. Antetokounmpo once again impressed, recording his first triple-double with the Heat, with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Speaking after the frustrating defeat, Antetokounmpo addressed how the team needs to “take a deep breath.”
“We all have to take a deep breath, and eventually we're gonna figure it out. You cannot press the panic button and panic because it's only gonna get worse if you start panicking. I've been in this position before,” Antetokounmpo said.
“But once you figure it out, you cannot let it go. Like, feel what you feel now. I feel what I feel now. I don't like this feeling,” Antetokounmpo continued. “The moment we turn this around, I'm always going to remember this feeling, and I'm going to try not to get back to this feeling.”

Heat's Giannis Antetokounmpo is a “little bit surprised” by 0-4 start
Antetokounmpo would say that there are aspects of the Heat's play that are improving, like the defensive side of the ball, which ranked 28th in defensive rating before the contest. However, Antetokounmpo still believes that Miami is freezing in the moment, but doesn't seem too concerned about the future, though he admits it's still shocking to see the 0-4 start.
