The San Francisco 49ers' offense looks pretty good through two weeks of action. Despite the trials and tribulations they've been facing even before the season started, San Francisco looks absolutely dominant on that end. After dropping 27 points on the Super Bowl favorites Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, they had 35 points against the Miami Dolphins in the following week.
The 49ers have one of the most stacked units on paper, with talented players and future Hall of Famers across the board. Tight end George Kittle, who is one of these star players, talked about how he's living the dream playing with players like Mike Evans and Trent Williams.
“I got really lucky,” Kittle said on The Rich Eisen Show. “I get to play with Trent Williams, right? We got him. Hall of Famer, plays like a Hall of Famer still. Mike Evans, Hall of Famer, plays like a Hall of Famer still. And so just when you add guys like that, it's just so much fun cause, I mean, every time we call a play and I know Mike has a chance of getting the ball, I'm like, ‘This is so sick.' Brock Purdy's throwing the ball to Mike Evans and I'm blocking for him. What a dream come true.”
The 49ers have built one of the most impressive offensive cores on paper. Trent Williams is a future Hall of Famer and is one of the best blindside tackles of his era. Kittle also talked about Evans, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star who tied Jerry Rice's record of consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. That's not even mentioning Christian McCaffrey, who's still in Top 5 conversations when it comes to running backs this season.
The only knock on the 49ers' offense this year is their severe lack of wide receivers. They've lost three players to the dreaded IR already: Christian Kirk, rookie De'Zhaun Stribling, and Ricky Pearsall will also miss a significant portion of the 2026 season. DeMarcus Robinson recently joined this list, forcing San Francisco to sign veteran Brandin Cooks.
