Former WWE Superstar Lacey Evans is back inside the wrestling ring, although not in the capacity you would've expected. Last seen wrestling and losing to Zelina Vega almost two years ago in a dark match on SmackDown, Evans has not been in the wrestling industry since.
Former WWE Superstar Evans, aka Macey Estrella, joined the promotion in 2016 and remained there until 2023. Her WWE contract expired in Aug. 2023, and she parted ways with the promotion after it was not renewed. Following her departure from wrestling, Estrella started creating fan-exclusive content, from which she reportedly earns more than her WWE contract.
Now inactive from wrestling for several years, Evans has finally made a comeback inside the ring. Evans posted a new video on social media, where she revealed herself training at D-Von Dudley's wrestling school. Evans added that Dudley was going to get her back into shape.
Article Continues BelowEvans had earlier mentioned that during a signing at WrestleCon, numerous fans inquired about her return, which inspired her to come back. She mentioned that her children were wondering when they would see her back on TV, and she wishes to wrestle in front of them. Earlier this year, in Apr. 2026, Evans had opened up about her wrestling return. âÂÂI will be returning to wrestling. Yes, the Sassy Southern Belle is on her way back.â However, as of now, there are no confirmed plans for her official in-ring comeback.
Evans, 36, is also a veteran of the Marines, serving as a United States Marine Corps Military Police officer, including Special Reaction Team training.
