Saturday's game against Miami is no ordinary one for Mike Norvell. The Florida State coach is under mounting pressure amid another underwhelming season, and another poor result against the state rival Hurricanes could be the end for him.

It certainly didn't help the Seminoles' chances of victory when star running back Ousmane Kromah was carted off due to a left ankle injury during the second quarter. But Norvell did receive some respite as his starting quarterback Ashton Daniels scored a touchdown on the very next play to tie the score at 14-14.

Daniels then threw up a “32” while celebrating his touchdown as a tribute to his injured teammate Kromah.

Kromah had carried the ball just shy of the end zone when he landed awkwardly on his ankle after getting tackled. His ankle looked to be bent at an angle, so the Florida State medical staff quickly put an air cast on his leg before he was carted off.

Kromah's injury was an unfortunate one for Florida State. The sophomore was having another stellar strong season for the Seminoles. He has 565 rushing yards and five touchdowns to go with 97 receiving yards.

It remains to be seen how long Kromah's injury will keep him sidelined, but based on the initial look of his ankle, it could potentially be a significant one. Florida State is already missing senior running back Samuel Singleton Jr. to an injury.

If Kromah is also sidelined for some time, senior Quintrevion Wisner will have to carry a heavier load in the Noles' backfield. Prior to the Miami game, Wisner has logged 141 rushing yards and 95 receiving yards this season.
