Without a doubt, fantasy football managers got hit with brutal blows this week. But they’ve still had to sort through the minutiae, like defense rankings. It’s still a young season, so touch every base, like the 2026 Week 3 tight end rankings.

You’ll see the usual suspect at the top of this list. If you have Trey McBride, you don’t need any insight on whether to put him in your starting lineup. And unless things change drastically, that applies for every week this season.

Let’s take a look at some good picks.

Fantasy Football standouts

It’s looking like it could be a banner season for Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid. The big hurdle is whether he can stay on the field long enough to be a fantasy standout.

Kincaid has 12 catches on 14 targets for 225 yards with a touchdown through two games. That’s about a third of the way to his career high, which was 673 yards as a rookie in 2023. And his career high in touchdowns is five.

Clearly, Josh Allen is looking for Kincaid, who gave credit to others, according to the Bills YouTube page via vcstar.com.

“I think it’s it’s just Joe dialing everything up, you know, were interchangeable pieces putting people out there so just stay on the same page with Josh makes a big difference,” Kincaid said.

Teammate Josh Palmer said Kincaid has earned his success, according to a post on X by Ian Mills via vcstar.com.

“I’ve seen Dalton since last year,” Palmer said. “He approaches every every day like a pro, whether that's getting his body healthy, whether that's doing extra after practice, I see Dalton every day doing this stuff.”

It’s also a good idea to consider Tucker Kraft this week. He has a good matchup against the Falcons. And it goes beyondit goes beyond, according to Sports Illustrated.

“In what may be surprising to some, we have Kraft ranked as our TE2 overall,” Mark Morales-Smith wrote. “All the underlying metrics point to him having a monster stretch of games despite his lack of production in Week 2.

“Last week, Kraft played on 98% of the offensive snaps, and it looks like they lost Jayden Reed for an extended period of time after he was stretchered off with a back injury. He should see a ton of usage in a strong matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who appear to be a mess through two games.”

Other standouts

There hasn’t been a standout game over the first two weeks for Tyler Warren. But this could be the week it happens. The Texans defense doesn’t look as tough as it did last year.

The Colts need to find a way to get over the hump. And leaning on Warren could give them a jolt.

Also, there’s a good reason to consider Sam LaPorta this week. First, the matchup is solid against the Jets. Second, the Lions are going to be scoring points. And at some point, defenses are going to make things more difficult for Amon-Ra St. Brown in the red zone. That opens the door for LaPorta to secure some short touchdown tosses.

Another good choice is Isaiah Likely. The Giants will, unfortunately, have to roll with Jameis Winston at quarterback for the foreseeable future. And Winston will likely cling to Likely as a safety blanket.

Fantasy Football sleepers

The best place to go for a sleeper is Colston Loveland. Largely ignored for two straight weeks, the quarterback injury change from Caleb Williams to Tyler Bagent will likely open the door for Loveland to finally make a 2026 impact.

The Bears only scored three points in Week 2, and they will be looking for creative ways to get points with Williams on the sidelines. Loveland makes a reasonable choice for more attentionfor more attention, according to NBC Sports.

“We assume coach Ben Johnson will make it a point of emphasis to get Loveland going in Week 3 against the Eagles,” Patrick Daughtery wrote.
